    FAQFAQ

    Q1

Does the camera work on a 1-gigabit NIC?

Yes. The 10GBase-T port auto-negotiates down to 100M/1G/2.5G/5G, which is fine for configuration. Full-speed capture (410–1,600 fps) requires a 10-gigabit link — otherwise frames drop.

    Q2

Why are the image corners dark (vignetting)?

The lens image circle is smaller than the sensor. The WP-GX180 has a 1.1" sensor and needs lenses with a ≥1.1" image circle; the GX050 (1/1.7") and GX280 (2/3") work with standard C-mount optics. Tell us your model and we match the optics.

    Q3

Which software is supported? Do I have to change my stack?

No. The camera complies with GIGE Vision / GenICam, so Halcon, LabVIEW, DirectShow and OpenCV all work directly. The WorkVision SDK supports secondary development on Windows / Linux / ARM Linux.

    Q4

What lighting does high-speed capture need?

At 1,600 fps the exposure is measured in microseconds and ambient light is useless — you need a high-power strobe synced to the camera's flash signal (GPIO). Send us your target and working distance and we will size the lighting.
