Why 10GigE is replacing CameraLink for production flying-shot inspection

10GBase-T runs a stable 100 m over standard Cat 6a at a fraction of the cabling and maintenance cost, with bandwidth to spare for 1,600 fps full-resolution streaming. CameraLink's dedicated frame grabbers and cables now trail on both scalability and price.

Global shutter vs rolling shutter: selecting for high-speed inspection

Rolling shutter exposes line by line, so a moving target's top and bottom are captured at different moments — skew that translates directly into measurement error and missed defects. Global shutter exposes every pixel simultaneously and, paired with microsecond strobes, is the only reliable choice for motion.

What is the 1 GB frame buffer for? Burst capture and packet re-send

When the line cycle is shorter than the network transfer period, the camera writes frames into onboard memory and uploads them when the link is idle — the basis of flying-shot mode. Lost packets are re-sent from the buffer without stopping the line. Buffer depth sets the ceiling on high-speed continuous bursts.

Southeast Asia machine-vision watch: the inspection upgrade wave in Chinese-invested factories

As manufacturing capacity moves into Vietnam, Chinese-invested factories are shifting from manual visual inspection to automated vision. Japanese brands (Keyence, Omron) carry premium pricing, leaving room for high-value Chinese alternatives — the same specs at a fraction of the cost, with faster response.
