PIV — Particle Image Velocimetry
Flow visualization needs double-frame high-speed imaging: a laser sheet illuminates seeding particles, the camera fires two frames at a precisely controlled interval, and cross-correlation yields velocity vectors. Frame-interval precision decides measurement precision.
What the application demands
- ▸Double-frame mode with programmable microsecond inter-frame interval
- ▸High-sensitivity sensor to catch micron-scale seeding particles
- ▸External trigger interfaced with the laser
Typical configuration
- ⚙WP-GX050 / GX180 chosen per FOV and flow speed
- ⚙Large-pixel GX180 for dim, low-light flow fields
- ⚙GPIO harness synced to the laser Q-switch
